It all started in 1884, in Monthermé, in the heart of the Ardennes. SEFAC began as a manufacturer of bolts and nuts for the railway industry. In 1968, the company made a bold shift, specializing in heavy-duty lifting equipment, building expertise that has been recognized for over 60 years, far beyond France’s borders.
Since then, SEFAC has continued to grow and evolve, while staying true to what matters most: strong values, a united team, and people at the core of everything we do. SEFAC is committed to responsible practices—prioritizing Made in France production and working with local suppliers, while designing durable equipment built to last.
We also embrace a circular economy approach. End-of-life mobile column lifts are collected, refurbished, and resold at a lower cost. When refurbishment isn’t possible, materials are reused in the production of new equipment. Today, SEFAC products are 99% recyclable.
